Local Center Startup Resources
  • To schedule a Zoom call reach out to Rob Wetzel or Linda Maedjaja. This should be done at least one month in advance of your local center meeting.
  • Once your meeting has been scheduled, you will receive the meeting URL. Email this URL to your speaker and any other presenters or hosts.
  • Ensure that your computer has adequate volume and screen size for your group. For groups of more than 3, connect your computer to a TV for the participants to view. Your computer will still act as a camera for the presenter to see your group, and as a microphone for Q&A.
  • If not already done, download the Zoom App to your computer and test the sound and video. This should be done no later than a few days before your event, giving you time to make changes to your setup if needed.
  • Have participants submit questions before your event and have those questions ready for your presenter during your Q&A time. Use these as fail-safes in the event that no questions are asked at the time of the meeting.
