Liberty Theological Seminary Online or Residential: (50% Scholarship)

The Liberty Theological Seminary features many master’s and doctoral degrees that can be taken online or residentially at Liberty University. LCN member churches receive two 50% tuition-only scholarships to the Liberty Theological Seminary for church employees. Scholarship details include:

• Tuition/Fees – The benefit will cover 50% of tuition only and will not cover any fees.
• The LCN scholarship covers no more than the minimum hours* required in the program at each degree level, i.e. master’s or doctoral, in the Liberty Theological Seminary programs of the University. The benefit does not cover institutes, certificate programs, or EdD degrees.
• The LCN Scholarship is exclusively available for Liberty University Theological Seminary coursework in Liberty’s School of Divinity.
• Applicants must complete an electronic application via the LCN Scholarship portal. Link to LCN Scholarship Portal: “Coming Soon”
• Applicants must submit a recent (within 1-2 months) pay stub validating their employment at an LCN church.
• Liberty reserves the right to request additional documentation in addition to or in place of a pay stub that validates the employee’s status as a full-time employee of an eligible church. For example, Liberty may request the applicant to provide a signed statement on church letterhead signed by a church official, which verifies the applicant’s employment status.
• Part-time/bi-vocational employees may be asked to provide a statement, on church letterhead and signed by a member of the church’s elder/deacon board, describing the employee’s position and responsibilities within the church.
• Liberty’s Financial Aid Office will verify that the applicant’s church is an active member in good standing with LCN.
• Liberty will verify that the church has not already met its 2-scholarship quota and validate the individual’s status as a full-time or part-time/bi-vocational church employee.
• If the applicant meets all necessary criteria, the scholarship will be approved for the duration of one academic year (Fall, Spring, Summer). To ensure continuous eligibility, scholarship recipients must complete a new scholarship application for each new academic year.
• The University reserves the right to cancel scholarship funds immediately following the semester in which the student loses eligibility (I.e., due to a change or loss of employment, LCN membership status by the student’s church, applying to an ineligible degree program, etc.).
• The discount is not stackable with any other Liberty University scholarships or discounts.
• If an individual becomes eligible for the LCN scholarship while actively enrolled in Liberty coursework, the scholarship will only apply to future charges, not current or former charges.
• If a degree was previously earned at LU, the dependent may not use LCN scholarship to complete another degree at the same level.
• LCN member churches remain eligible and in good standing by maintaining monthly giving, doctrinal/missional alignment, and participation in the network as active members. Churches’ failure to fulfill these requirements voids scholarship eligibility.

Liberty University Online Programs: (15% Scholarship)

This scholarship is for LCN Pastors and their staff/spouses, as well as for LCN Staff; this is NOT for the children of these recipients nor for LCN-affiliated church members.

• 15% tuition discount,* toward completion of any degree program.
• Emergency Response Personnel and Military benefits.
• Life experience/Transfer credit.
• Personal representative at Liberty for your Human Resources office and employees.

Liberty University Residential Programs: ($1,000 Per Year Scholarship)

Liberty University offers many undergraduate degree programs to equip and develop students with the necessary values, knowledge, and skills to have a significant impact on their workplaces and culture.

This Scholarship is for Liberty Baptist Fellowship Chaplains, LCN Staff, LCN Pastors, and all church members of LCN-affiliated churches.

• $1,000 per year for up to four years
• Student must attend or be a member of a church affiliated with the Liberty Church Network or in the Liberty Baptist Fellowship Chaplain program prior to matriculation.
• This award is not stackable with the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia or Virginia Scholarship (Must be a legal, domiciled resident of the state of Virginia, awarded $1,500 per year for up to 4 years.)
• Pastor must submit a letter on the church letterhead stating the applicant attends or is a member of the church and that the church belongs to either the Liberty Church Network or Liberty Baptist Fellowship organizations.
